XLIX Collaboration

"When women support each other, incredible things happen" -Author Unknown-

These dolls were inspired by this all-women collaboration project, which in my eyes celebrates the bond we women have when we come together, and uplift one another, to inspire and create something with a greater purpose.

XLIX is an all-female-artist collaboration by ceramic artist Griet Van den Auwelent, whoc created 49 identical concrete dolls and assigned to over 30 artists to design and decorate in their own styles. XLIX art project celebrates creativity and diversity in the run up to the UAE jubilee, and exhibited at Dubai Design District, City Walk & Dubai World Trade Center, All the dolls are up for auction until May 31st, 2021 in support of Al Jalila Foundation in the UAE.
