Anna Maria Aoun, born in 1987 in Lebanon, is an Art Director and illustrator currently based in Sharjah. She earned her BFA in Visual Communication from the American University in Dubai in 2008. During her student years, Anna participated in numerous art exhibitions, showcasing her talents in mixed media projects such as "Bulb Fiction" and "Art for Rent" video art installations in Dubai, as well as a photo documentary titled "Beirut; around the corner" at The JamJar & Courtyard.

Anna's career took a significant turn when she became a key member of the 1st place Global winning team for IAA Interad Xll in 2008, leading her into the world of advertising. She held a position as an art director at Leo Burnett, where she contributed to global brands like Kelloggs, McDonalds, and Baume et Mercier. However, after becoming a mother, Anna transitioned into freelancing full time. This shift allowed her to work closely with clients while also dedicating time to personal art projects, exploring line art and pattern design, ultimately leading to the development of her distinctive illustrative style known as "Tangles."

Today, Anna Maria's work is showcased on various mediums and platforms both locally and globally. Her portfolio includes large-scale murals, features in fashion publications, collaborations, and, most recently, involvement in motorsports for the McLaren Formula 1 car. Beyond her artistic pursuits, Anna remains engaged in her community by taking on a teaching role, conducting creative workshop programs to inspire children and women.
